Honor Claims Battery of X9b 5G to Run 3 Days in Single Charge, Launch on 15 February

Chinese smartphone maker Honor's X9b 5G will be launched in India next week. The company has given information about its specifications and colors through some teasers. Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC will be provided as processor in it. It is already available in some international markets.

Honor has said in a press release that this smartphone will have a 5,800 mAh battery. The company claims that its battery can provide up to 18 hours of calling time, maximum 12 hours of gaming time or about 19 hours of video playback time on a single charge. Its battery is also reported to last for three days without use. Honor X9b 5G will run on MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13. It will have Qualcomm's 4 nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC processor with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It will be made available in Sunrise Orange and Midnight Black colors. This smartphone will be launched on 15 February.

Along with this, Honor Choice Watch and Honor Choice X5 earphones will also be introduced. Last year, Honor X9b 5G was made available for sale in select international markets including Malaysia and United Arab Emirates (UAE). The variant of this smartphone to be launched in the country may have a 6.78 inch (1,200 x 2,652 pixels) AMOLED display and a 108-megapixel primary camera.

The prices of smartphones may increase soon. Smartphones may become expensive in the coming months due to increase in the cost of an important component used in them. In the second quarter of this year, the price of 5G smartphones priced below Rs 10,000 may be more affected. According to a media report, the cost of memory chips used in smartphones sold in the country may increase. Memory chip makers Samsung and Micron of South Korea may increase the price of their DRAM chips by 20 percent in the current quarter. Due to this, smartphones may become expensive in the coming quarter. The recent reduction in duty on smartphone components may reduce the increase in prices. Apart from this, smartphone makers can cut costs by reducing the memory configuration in new smartphones.
