Odisha Cash Haul income tax department using technology to find hidden gold Dhiraj kumar sahu houses
This is the first case of such huge cash seized by any investigating agency in India. Which has broken all the previous records. The special thing worth noting here is that now the Income Tax Department is using high technology gadgets so that it can detect gold etc. buried underground. According to NDTV, officials said that the IT team is now using the geo-surveillance system. It can very easily find hidden precious metals like gold and jewelery etc. inside the ground. The department is using them in Dheeraj Kumar Sahu's Ranchi bungalow and Lohardaga house in Jharkhand.
This raid started on 6 December. The Income Tax Department suspects that the cash recovered exposes the illegal earnings being made by Boudh Distilleries and its associated institutions. A round of allegations regarding this incident has started among the political parties of the country. Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly targeted Congress and other opposition parties by making the incident an issue. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the allegations against the present government of misusing the investigating agencies were actually being made by the opposition parties due to the fear of their corruption being exposed.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said yesterday that the public money that has been looted will be returned. No statement has been issued yet by Congress regarding the defense of Dheeraj Kumar Sahu. The party says that it has nothing to do with this business of Dheeraj Kumar Sahu. The MP himself will have to tell where the cash has come from. However, the Income Tax Department is using full force of technology to reach the bottom of this raid so that hidden gold etc. can also be detected.
