Apple has upgraded its MacBook Air. While the previous model had a butterfly style keyboard, now the company has introduced the new model with “Magic Keyboard”. The new MacBook Air 2020 laptop comes with new Intel processors, improved Iris Plus graphics, and 256 GB base storage. Apple claims that users will get full day battery life in MacBook Air 2020. There does not appear to be any change in the chassis of this laptop compared to the previous MacBook Air model. Even in MacBook Air 2020, the company has retained the aluminum design like the previous model. Apart from this, Touch ID support is also provided in this laptop. Along with the new MacBook Air, Apple has also updated the Mac Mini with twice the storage capacity. Its American base price is $799 (approximately Rs 59,320). Apart from this, the company has also introduced a new iPad Pro with LiDAR scanner.

MacBook Air 2020 price in India starts from Rs 92,990. This price is for its 256 GB storage option. Apple also has other storage models, the price of which is yet to be revealed. The company has launched it in Gold, Silver and Space Gray color options. Information regarding the availability of the new MacBook Air has also not been given yet. It has been launched in America at a base price of $999 (approximately Rs 74,200).

Apart from MacBook Air 2020, Apple has also increased the storage of Mac Mini to 256 GB, which is priced at Rs 74,900. Its new 512 GB storage option has been launched for Rs 1,04,900.

The highlight of the MacBook Air 2020 is the Magic Keyboard, which was first introduced on the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The new keyboard also has 1 mm 'Key Travel' like the MacBook Pro. The company claims that this keyboard gives a cool typing experience. The keyboard retains backlit keys with an ambient light sensor.

Apart from the new keyboard, the MacBook Air 2020 has a 10th generation Intel Core processor, which according to the company, gives twice faster performance than the previous version. In this, customers can choose between 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core i3 and 1.1 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 options. Apart from this, it also has support for Thunderbolt 3-enabled external graphics processor with Intel Iris Plus graphics. Apple claims that the new hardware on the MacBook Air 2020 delivers 80 percent faster graphics performance compared to the previous generation model.

The MacBook Air 2020 retains the 13-inch Retina display from before, featuring an IPS panel with a 2560×1600 pixel resolution and 227ppi pixel density. The aspect ratio of the display panel is 16:10 and it comes with True Tone technology. According to the company's website, the new MacBook Air comes with 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM with 3,733MHz speed.

The new MacBook Air also includes the Apple T2 security chip. It also has Touch ID support for a better login experience. Like the previous MacBook Air, the new model also has a three-mic array and Force Touch trackpad. The device also has Thunderbolt 3 ports for data transfer, charging, and video output. Apart from this it supports 6K external display.

The Apple MacBook Air 2020 has a built-in 49.9-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery. The company claims that this battery is capable of providing up to 11 hours of wireless web time or up to 30 days of standby time on a single charge. Apart from this, the weight of the new model is 1.29 kg.
