Voyager 1 farthest spacecraft from Earth sending incoherent data back to NASA

NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft is currently the most distant object sent into space by humans. That means this spacecraft is located farthest from humans. It has reached a distance of 24 billion kilometers. But the concern of the scientists operating it has now increased. The spacecraft has not been working properly for some time. It is sending strange data to the mission controllers of the space agency which is not logical. That means the spacecraft is giving irregular data.

According to Suzanne Dodd, who works at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the spacecraft has stopped talking to them in a coherent manner. Suzanne Dodd has been involved with the Voyager Interstellar Mission since 2010 and is working as its project manager. Both Voyager 1 and its sister Voyager 2 have been traveling in space for more than 40 years. According to Science Friday, they were launched by NASA in 1977. These spacecraft are at a great distance from the Earth. NASA says that their distance is 130 times the distance between the Sun and the Earth.

The spacecraft had set out on a 4-year mission. They were sent into space to collect information about Jupiter, Saturn and their moons. That means they have worked for 35 years more than their assigned mission. Both spacecraft have made many important discoveries about Jupiter and Saturn. They have discovered active volcanoes on Jupiter's moon. Voyager 2 has also explored Uranus and Neptune. This is the only spacecraft that has reached these two planets.

Scientists are worried about Voyager 1 because it has not sent any relevant data to Earth since November. Yes, it has captured some amazing photos including the Pale Blue Dot image of the Earth. Carl Sagan has told through this how small our existence is in this universe.
