Until then available only by separate download, the new Microsoft Edge based on Chromium with mechanisms similar to those of Google Chrome, arrives at windows update for users of Windows 10 replacing the old one based on Internet Explorer.
The latest Windows 10 updates, under the KB4541301, KB4541302, and KB4559309 firmware, available to anyone who has versions 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909 or 2004 of the system, bring with them the new browser, replacing the old version of Edge.
Note: Once installed through Windows Update, the new browser cannot be removed by the user
The new edge will replace the previous version, assuming data from the old Edge, such as passwords and favorite sites, will be automatically imported into the Chromium-based browser version. (Sync is optional and can be disabled at any time)
It is worth remembering that since the new Edge is based on Chromium, it will be shared with google chrome extensions.
