NASA's rover Perseverance was exploring Jezero Crater on Mars. While walking here, he got such a view of the weather of Mars which had not been seen till now. The rover saw the dust storm rising on Mars and captured it on camera. This storm was moving from east to west on Mars. Its speed was 19 kilometers per hour. In NASA's video of Mars, it can be seen that this storm full of Martian dust is passing through the western ring of Jezero Crater. The video is made up of 21 frames. Each frame is a 4 second video. The video is shown at 20 times speed. Scientists have said that based on the data, this storm was at a distance of 4 kilometers from Thorofare Ridge. Its spread is said to be up to 60 meters. In the video, only its lower part is visible which is said to be 118 meters. Whereas scientists say that it would have been about 2 kilometers high.

Sand storms occur frequently on Earth as well. They are formed when hot air rising up meets cold air coming down. Scientists say that on Mars this happens on a much larger scale. That's why the storms there are bigger and higher. Currently the Perseverance rover is roaming in the northern hemisphere of Mars. At present the summer season is going on there.
