Many astronomical phenomena will be seen in the sky in the month of October. If you are interested in these events, then it is time to look into the sky. Many small and big meteor showers will be seen this month. There will also be a chance to see a rare eclipse. It will start from October 9 and 10, when the Draconids Meteor Shower will be at its peak.

According to a report, the Draconids meteor shower originates from the Draco constellation. This meteor shower can be seen even with the naked eye. However, for that you will have to choose a place where there is no light pollution i.e. deep black night is visible. Up to 10 meteors can be seen every hour in the Draconids meteor shower. However, in 2011, up to 600 meteors were seen per hour.

Apart from this, “Ring of Fire” solar eclipse will be seen on October 14, which will be the biggest astronomical event of this year and month. During the Ring of Fire the Moon does not block the entire solar disk. The Moon's shadow covers most of the Sun's disk except the outer rim. Because of this a beautiful ring of fire becomes visible in the sky.

According to NASA, an annular solar eclipse will be visible across North America on Saturday, October 14, 2023. The Ring of Fire will cross 8 US states from Oregon to Texas. This solar eclipse can be watched online for free while sitting at home. According to Indian time, the Ring of Fire will start at around 8.30 pm.
