Asus launches new ROG laptops with AMD's latest generation Radeon Mobile graphics, know the features

Asus has announced Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and Asus ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition gaming laptops. Dramatically, this announcement comes on the heels of the launch of AMD's latest generation of Radeon mobile graphics. AMD launched its new Radeon mobile graphics at the Computex 2021 event. Now these new gaming laptops from Asus will come with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and newly launched Radeon RX 6800M GPU.

With this announcement, Asus becomes the first company to use AMD's highest-end mobile CPUs and mobile GPUs in its Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and Asus ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition. The price and sale date of both these laptops have not been disclosed yet. The company says that Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition will be available soon while Asus ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition will hit the market by the third quarter of this year.

Both Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and Asus ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition gaming laptops come in display sizes of 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches. It has a refresh rate of 300Hz and response time of 3ms. AMD FreeSync Premium technology is also supported in their display. Both laptops have a 90Whr battery and each device claims to deliver 11.4 hours of video playback. Apart from this, fast charging support has been provided in both the laptops which has the ability to charge the battery up to 50 percent within 30 minutes.

Both these laptop models have a feature which is named AMD SmartShift. With this, it automatically adjusts the load on CPU and GPU and through this new technology, its performance increases by 15 percent. The devices are powered by AMD Ryzen 9 59000 HX octa-core CPU paired with the new Radeon RX 6800M GPU. It is based on the new RDNA 2 architecture. It has up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage. Talking about ports, HDMI 2.0, 3 USB Type-A slots, a USB C-Type port, an RJ45 LAN port and a 3.5mm audio jack are also provided. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1 are provided for connectivity. Asus ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition and Asus ROG Strix G17 Advantage Edition have two 4W speakers that come with Smart Amp technology and also have AI Mic noise canceling feature. It also has an inbuilt array microphone.
