BS3 Petrol BS4 Diesel Cars Ban in Delhi Again Rs 20000 Fine Amid Dangerous Air Pollution Levels Heres How to Check Bharat Stage of Your Vehicles
If you are coming to Delhi from other states or are using BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel cars while staying in Delhi, then you need to be careful. Delhi government is making every possible effort to bring the air quality index below the danger level. GRAP III has now been brought back in Delhi, in which the use of BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel cars is banned on the roads. The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) had last month issued a directive regarding Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) due to air pollution in Delhi NCR and surrounding areas. GRAP III restrictions have come into effect from December 22, 2023 and will remain in force until further orders.
Use of emergency services, police vehicles and government vehicles will be exempted during the GRAP III ban imposed on air pollution. Apart from this, if any other vehicle is found running on the road, a fine of Rs 20,000 will have to be paid under Section 194 (1) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
