Google Doodle salutes women on International Women’s Day what is special know

International Women's Day is being celebrated today all over the world including India. On this occasion, tech giant Google has saluted women by making a doodle! The progress of women in recent years has been shown through doodles. In a post, the company has written, today people celebrate those women who changed the society. Fought for equality and set positive examples everywhere.

It is noteworthy that on this day in 1975, the United Nations celebrated International Women's Day for the first time. Since then this day is celebrated every year on 8 March. Referring to the contribution of women in the world, Google wrote in its post that today is focused on issues like gender equality and preventing violence against women.

While wishing Women's Day, Google wrote that the progress made by women in so many years would not have been possible without their courageous actions. Best wishes to all those who have shown the way to the people and are carrying this torch.

Today's Google Doodle is quite colourful. In this, a group of women can be seen along with symbols like education, equality, employment, sports etc. Google's branding can also be seen in the doodle. The Google post also mentions the two initial rallies of Women's Day. These rallies were taken out in St. Petersburg and New York City. In the rallies, demands were made for fair and safe jobs as well as the right to vote.
