According to a media report, an email sent by the management of Infosys said, “Please start coming to office at least three days a week. This will soon become mandatory.” In this email, displeasure has been expressed over the less response received on the earlier email regarding returning to office. It has been said that after Corona, the arrangement of work from home is sufficient for three years. Along with this, employees have been told that except for medical reasons, they will have to attend the office regularly.
In another email, the company has given information about reinstating the charge for bus services. From next month its employees will have to pay Rs 150 per day for bus services. However, this charge will not exceed Rs 1,500 per month. Before Corona, Infosys employees were allowed to work from home for nine days every month.
Recently, global software company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) also made it mandatory for employees to report to office five days a week. Along with this, the company had advised the employees to take care of the dress code in the office. TCS Chief Human Resources Officer, Milind Lakkad, had said in an email to employees that the company wants to see its associates in the office on all working days. He had said, “A large number of associates have joined the company in the last two years and were working in a virtual or hybrid manner. It is our responsibility to integrate them.” Along with this, in this email he had said that the employees should also take care of the dress code because they also represent the company. Earlier, TCS had said that about 70 percent of its employees have returned to office.
