Itel A70 First 256GB Storage Smartphone Under Rs 8000 in India Expected Launch Date Specifications

Itel A70 is reportedly expected to launch in India soon and according to a report, the Chinese smartphone maker is planning to launch the handset with 128GB or 256GB of inbuilt storage. The design of the upcoming smartphone has also surfaced online, showing the handset's display with four color options and a large notch for the selfie camera module. It is also being said that this handset is the first handset to be launched with 256GB storage in this price segment, which will cost less than Rs 8,000.

A report by 91Mobiles claims that Itel A70 will be the first smartphone in India whose 256GB storage variant will be priced below Rs 8,000. According to the report, the company's upcoming smartphone will also be equipped with 12GB of RAM – this reportedly includes 4GB of virtual RAM, which can use the storage on the phone as virtual memory.

The report also includes a photo of the handset in four colors. It has been told that the company will launch the successor of Itel A60 in green, light blue, blue and yellow colors. The image also reiterates the claim that the smartphone will be available in 128GB and 256GB storage configurations.

The Itel A70 is shown to have a large chin and thick bezels on all other sides, as well as a tall display notch cutout that houses the selfie camera and a front-facing LED flash. It appears that the power and volume buttons are on the right side as only the SIM tray is shown on the left side.

The company has not yet announced the launch date of the Itel A70 in India, or confirmed any of the specifications mentioned in the report. Earlier this month, the phone maker launched the 4GB+64GB RAM and storage configuration of the Itel A05s smartphone in the country, priced at Rs 6,099. The phone was also launched in India with 2GB RAM and 32GB RAM variants in October, two months later.
