Kia Presents Updated Sonet, Booking to Start from Next Week

South Korean automobile company Kia introduced the updated Sonet on Thursday. Some changes have been made in its external design. Along with this, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) has been added to it. It can be launched in India in the first quarter of next year. Booking of the new Sonet will start from December 20.

Sonet is an important model for the company. Along with selling it in the country, it is also exported. It competes with Maruti Suzuki's Brezza and Hyundai's Venue. This is an SUV of less than four meters. However, the best selling model in the country for Kia is the Seltos. The design of DRL has been changed slightly in the updated Sonet. There have also been changes in its headlights and front bumper. It will be available in eight single and two dual-tone colors. Its monotone colors are Olive, White, Silver, Grey, Red, Blue, Clear White and Black. The dual-tone colors include red with black roof and white with black roof.

It has a 10.25 inch main touchscreen display and a 10.25 inch LCD driver display. Along with this, there is 360 degree camera, smart air purification system, seven speaker Bose sound system and electric sunroof. Last month, Kia had reduced the price of Seltos SUV. However, for this some features of Seltos have been removed. The company launched it in July at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Depending on the variants of Seltos, its price has decreased by about Rs 2,000.

It competes with Hyundai's Creta. The price of HTX and above variants of Seltos has been reduced. No changes have been made in its X-Line variant. Kia has planned to provide the one-touch rolling feature of Windows only on the driver side window in all variants of Seltos except X-Line. For this reason the price has been reduced. However, this feature will be available for all Windows in the X-Line variant. Its upgraded version was launched a few months later. Along with some changes in its design, improvements have also been made in the cabin. Apart from this, some new features have also been added to it. ADAS Level 2 technology is available in its top variant. Seltos has received good response from customers in the mid-size SUV segment.
