Mahindra & Mahindra Increased Prices of Scorpio-N, Thar, XUV700

Mahindra and Mahindra, one of the big automobile companies, has increased the prices of its SUVs Scorpio-N, Thar and XUV700. Their prices have increased by Rs 57,000. These SUVs have a major share in the company's sales. The price of XUV700 has been increased the most.

According to a media report, the price of AX7 L petrol variant of XUV700 with seven seats and manual gearbox has increased by Rs 57,000. There has been an increase of Rs 53,000 in the price of the same diesel variant available in both manual and automatic transmission. However, the company has also reduced the prices of its eight variants. Among these, the price of four entry-level variants with petrol engines has reduced by Rs 15,000. The price of AX5 diesel variant with five seats and automatic gearbox has reduced the most by Rs 21,000. The price of XUV700 ranges between Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra has increased the prices of all variants of Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic. The price of its entry-level variant with petrol engine has been increased by Rs 34,000 and that of the entry-level variant with diesel engine by Rs 24,000. The Scorpio-N is made available in five variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L. These variants are available in both petrol and diesel options. Apart from this, the prices of all variants of Thar SUV have also increased by Rs 35,000. Its starting price is Rs 11.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Last year the company launched the electric SUV XUV400. Its range on a single charge is a little more than 450 kilometers. The XUV400 competes with MG's ZS EV and Tata Motors' Nexon EV. It has two variants – EC and EL. Mahindra also updated the XUV400 with new features. Features like electronic stability program, tire pressure monitoring, cruise control and fog lamps have been provided in it. Mahindra also plans to launch some new electric vehicles. In this market the company competes with Tata Motors. Sales of electric vehicles in the country have increased rapidly in the last few years. Many automobile companies are launching their models in this segment.
