Mongolian Sky turns red like blood rare phenomena goes viral on internet
Those interested in space topics must have heard the name of Aurora. This is the colorful hue that is often seen scattered across the sky at night. Aurora is a beautiful natural light that appears in the sky. It is usually seen near the North and South Poles at night. Scientists have long believed that auroras form when solar winds collide with Earth's magnetic field. In such a situation, green-blue colors scatter in the sky. Sometimes auroras of other colors are also visible. But a different sight of Aurora was seen in Mongolia which went viral on the internet. See pictures-
Pictures about the red sky in Mongolia are going viral on the internet. According to India Today, the formation of red aurora is due to solar storms emanating from the Sun on November 27. These are also called coronal mass ejections (CME). When these solar winds reach near the Earth's atmosphere, their particles collide with the oxygen present in the atmosphere. Due to which red colored aurora is formed. This is considered very rare. Because oxygen is present in very small quantities at such altitudes. That's why these are made rarely.
This is not the first time that such red color has been seen in the sky. Earlier also in 1859, such astronomical event is recorded in history when such a sight was seen in Mexico and Caribbean also.
