Recently we told you that Nothing can launch a new smartphone in the market. Although the company has not shared any details about this, a latest leak has revealed that the company is working on its third smartphone. Nothing launched Nothing Phone 2 in the Indian market in July. There are speculations that his next phone will be Nothing Phone 3. However, it is being said that it could be an affordable phone named Nothing Phone 2a.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) on social media platform 'X' told It is reported that a Nothing smartphone with model number A142 has been spotted on the website of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Its model number is like that of Nothing Phone 2a, which is said to be AIN142.

At the same time, the report of 91Mobiles suggests that the slight difference between model numbers may be due to regional reasons. The tipster also revealed that the listing also details a battery with model number NT03, which could be related to the Nothing Phone 2a.

It is expected that Nothing Phone 2a will be an affordable variant of Nothing Phone which was launched in July. That means it can be packed with lesser hardware. This could be a mid-range Snapdragon or MediaTek's Dimension processor. The new phone may have a 6.7 inch AMOLED display.

A design render of the Nothing Phone 2a was also shown in a previous leak. It was speculated that the upcoming Nothing phone will also have a glyph interface and a transparent rear cover. The phone has been spotted with a dual rear camera unit. The front camera can fit inside the punch hole.

Talking about Nothing Phone 2, it is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The phone has a 6.7-inch full-HD (1,080 x 2,412 pixels) LTPO OLED panel. It comes with 45W wired and 5W Qi wireless charging support and packs a 4,700mAh battery.
