OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R Price Leaked More Expensive than OnePlus 11

OnePlus is going to launch OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R in India and other global markets on January 23. The US price of the smartphone has been leaked online a few days before its official entry. OnePlus 12 is expected to enter as a flagship smartphone and may be priced higher than OnePlus 11. However, the price of OnePlus 12R is reported to be more affordable. Price of OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R

According to a report by TechPlus (German), the price of 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant of OnePlus 12R will start at $499 (roughly Rs. 35,000). Whereas the price of 16GB RAM/256GB storage variant will be $599 (approximately Rs 35,000).

The OnePlus 12 will reportedly be priced at $799 (roughly Rs. 66,400) in the US for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant and the 16GB RAM/512GB storage variant is expected to be priced at $899 (roughly Rs. 74,000). This is an increase in price compared to the smartphones launched last year. In February last year, the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant of OnePlus 11 was launched at a price of $699 (approximately Rs 58,000). In this price segment, the flagship smartphone is expected to compete with Apple iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S23 and Google Pixel 8.

OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R will be launched globally at the 'Smooth Beyond Belief' event on January 23. OnePlus 12 (12GB RAM/256GB storage) was launched in China in December last year with a starting price of CNY 4,299 (approximately Rs 50,700).

OnePlus 12 features a 6.82-inch quad-HD+ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, refresh rate of 120Hz, and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. This smartphone works on 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Talking about camera setup, OnePlus 12 has a 32-megapixel front camera in the rear. There is a Hasselblad-tuned triple rear camera unit. The OnePlus 12 has up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4 inbuilt storage. It has a 5,400mAh battery that supports 100W SuperVOOC charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. OnePlus 12 works on ColorOS 14 on Android 14.

OnePlus 12R has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, which has a refresh rate of 120Hz. This smartphone can run on Octa Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Talking about camera setup, the smartphone will have a triple rear camera unit, which will have a 50-megapixel primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support.
