The city of Ayodhya is going through a major transformation, where the construction of a grand Ram temple is almost complete. Lakhs and crores of people across the country have started preparations to visit this spiritual place. This is evident from the fact that according to hotel booking platform OYO, Ayodhya has seen a tremendous increase in hotel searches and bookings. The founder of the platform has informed that people have shown interest in Ayodhya even before Goa and Nainital, one of the most popular travel destinations in India.

OYO founder Ritesh Aggarwal has informed through a post on X that Ayodhya has seen an impressive growth of 70% in OYO app users. This huge growth has surpassed the growth seen in popuwar tourist destinations like Goa (50%) and Nainital (60%). In his tweet, Aggarwal wrote, (translated) 'Holy sites are now India's favorite destinations! Ayodhya saw a 70% increase in OYO app users compared to Goa (50%) and Nainital (60%). Spiritual tourism will be one of the biggest growth drivers of the tourism industry in the next 5 years.”

As excitement grows for the inauguration of the Ram temple, Ayodhya is witnessing a breathtaking transformation. With the beginning of the consecration rituals on January 16, 2024, there has been an increase in tourism in the city. Eager devotees are flocking to witness the historic seven-day process that culminates with the installation of Shri Ram in the temple on January 22.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi took an important step by inaugurating the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, opening the doors to increased connectivity and economic opportunities. The momentous occasion also saw the launch of ambitious development programs worth an astonishing Rs 15,700 crore, aimed at improving Ayodhya's infrastructure, amenities and tourism facilities.

Prime Minister Modi has flagged off two special trains – Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat. These high-speed trains will connect Delhi and Darbhanga directly to Ayodhya, making travel more comfortable and efficient for pilgrims and tourists.
