Techie Found Fathers Stolen Bag by Self Used Shared Location on Smartphone Heres How

In case of any theft in India, most people feel that their belongings will never be recovered, especially if someone's bag is stolen in a moving train, then the hope becomes negligible. However, one person did not think so and found his father's stolen bag himself. Let us know the whole matter.

A person named Raj Bhagat told the news agency Bhasha (via NDTV) that at around 1.30 am on the intervening night of February 3 and 4, his father was searching for his berth in the Nagercoil-Kacheguda Express train and was busy arranging his luggage. He lost his bag, which also contained his phone.

After about two hours, his father realized that the bag was missing. After a lot of searching, when the bag was not found, he informed his son Raj Bhagat through the phone of another passenger.

Bhagat told the agency that his family shares 'location' with each other and he found the 'location' of his father's phone on the railway line near Melappalayam in Tirunelveli. Bhagat used data and maps to catch the thief.

“So I guessed that the thief got down at Tirunelveli Junction and was returning to Nagercoil by another train,” he said.

Bhagat decided to chase the thief with one of his friends. He said, “We stopped on the way and told a railway police personnel about this and took him along with us.”

“But from his movement on the map, I guessed that he had come out of the main gate of the station and boarded a bus going towards Anna bus stand,” Bhagat said. So, we started chasing the bus on the motorcycle.”

He told that finally he got down at Anna bus stand.

Bhagat said, “I could see his location only two meters away in Google Map.” Then I saw him in front of me with dad's bag. After that, we surrounded him with the help of nearby people.

Bhagat further told PTI that this entire incident went on for two hours. When I saw the thief standing in front of me with dad's bag, I can't tell you how happy I was.”

Later the thief was taken to the police station, where it was revealed that he was a habitual criminal. The police recovered all the things stolen that day from him – phone charger, Bluetooth earphones, lock and key, one thousand rupees in cash etc.
