TVS Sales Increases by 23 Percent to 3.39 Lakh Units, iQube And Jupiter Shows Good Performance
Total sales of the company's two-wheelers stood at 3,29,937 units, an increase of about 25 percent. In January last year, sales for TVS Motor were 2,64,710 units. Sales of the company's two-wheelers in the country increased by 24 percent to 2,68,233 units. In the same period last year, it was 2,16,471 units. Its motorcycle sales increased by 29 percent to 1,55,611 units. It was 1,21,042 units in the same period last year. Sales of its two-wheelers have increased by 24 percent. It has sold 1,32,290 units of scooters in January. In the same period last year it was 1,06,537 units.
Total exports of TVS increased by 22 percent to 69,343 units. In January last year it was 57,024 units. The company said that its exports have been somewhat affected due to disruptions in the availability of containers. To meet the increasing demand for electric scooters, the company has prepared to increase the production capacity of iQube to 25,000 units per month. Along with this, it also plans to expand the sales network of electric two-wheelers. The company has also made preparations to export electric two-wheelers in the international market.
Its iQube competes with Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X. This electric scooter has a 3.4 kWh battery. Its range in a single charge is about 100 kilometers. The top speed of iQube is 78 kilometers per hour. Its another variant iQube ST has a 5.1 kWh battery. Its range is about 145 kilometers and top speed is 82 kilometers per hour.
