Upgrade variant of Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air launched

Xiaomi has upgraded the 13.3 inch variant of its Mi Notebook Air laptop in China. The upgraded variant now has the latest eighth generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Aiming to directly compete with Apple's MacBook Air, Xiaomi introduced the Mi Notebook Air in July 2016. The latest variant is available for pre-order on the website at a price of CNY 5,399 (approximately Rs 53,800) and deliveries will begin from January 24. The laptop runs Windows 10 Home Edition. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is now also available in a new dark gray color.

As we told that Xiaomi has launched the latest variant of 13.3 inch variant of Mi Notebook Air in China. The laptop now has new Intel Core i5-8250U and Core i7-8550U processors. The notebook was upgraded in July last year with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 graphics card and 2GB of GDDR5 DRAM.

Apart from the specifications mentioned above, Xiaomi 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air comes with 8 GB DDR4 RAM, 256 GB PCIe SSD and expandable hard disk support. The Core i5 model comes with a maximum clock speed of 3.4 GHz while the Core i7 variant comes with a maximum clock speed of 4.0 GHz.

This laptop has a 13.3 inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display which is equipped with 170 degree viewing angle and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This device has Bluetooth 4.1 support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac band and a megapixel front camera for video calling. Talking about the battery, the laptop has a 40 watt lithium-ion battery which is claimed to provide a battery life of up to 9.5 hours. The laptop has a USB Type-C port that supports fast charging technology. Talking about connectivity, it has a USB 3.0 port, HDMI port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The notebook has a fingerprint sensor to activate or unlock the desktop.

The 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air measures 309.6×210.9×14.8 millimeters and weighs 1.3 kilograms.
