Western Digital launches 2 new hard drives in India

American data storage company Western Digital on Wednesday launched two new hard drives in the Indian market. The hard drives named 'My Passport' and 'My Book' are equipped with password protection and hardware encryption.

Portable hard drives 'My Passport' are available in 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB capacities, priced at Rs 7,980, Rs 11,910 and Rs 17,140 respectively.

The desktop hard drive 'My Book' is available in 3 TB, 4 TB, 6 TB and 8 TB capacities, priced at Rs 13,050, Rs 16,470, Rs 26,600 and Rs 29,500 respectively.

Khalid Wani, Director (Content Solutions Business), Western Digital, said in a statement, “Data usage is increasing day by day. Hence, we have launched these products to reiterate the importance of personal data solutions.”

These devices are available in black, red, white and blue colors and come with a two-year warranty.
