A special feature can be seen on YouTube soon. YouTube is reportedly testing a new feature for its mobile app. Under this, the user will get a chance to choose from three colors – Red, Green and Blue. Based on these colors, YouTube will suggest video feeds which will follow the same color theme. This new feature has reached many users but right now the number is very less. However, it is being said that color based video suggestions have nothing to do with the content of the video. Let us know what will happen in this feature.

A feature may soon appear on video streaming platform YouTube in which users will be given the option to choose from three colors – red, blue and green for video suggestions. According to 9to5Google, this feature has been spotted on the mobile app. In this, suggested videos will be shown based on whatever color option the user chooses. That means if you choose red color, all the videos will be related to red color. But this will be only thumbnail based search. Any video whose thumbnail shows red color will be visible in the video feed.

This feature has been seen on both Android and iOS platforms. After selecting the color, the user sees a separate video feed. In this feed, all the videos are seen according to the selected color screen. This will not affect the home video feed, but a separate color based video feed will appear in the app at the top of the home page.

The thing to note is that apart from the color theme, nothing else will be common in the recommended videos. The suggested videos may or may not be from any of your subscribed channels. These videos may also not be based on watch history. Ocean of Gadgets has not been able to verify this yet. Here it is difficult to say whether the color will be picked only from the thumbnail or the algorithm of the app will also scan the content of the video for color.

YouTube is going to face tough competition from TikTok soon. In a recent report, it was revealed that TikTok is now going to start the feature of long duration videos like YouTube. The facility to upload 30-minute videos can also be seen on TikTok soon. TikTok, being a popular platform for its short videos, will allow users to fast forward the video by tapping and holding on the right side of the video. A similar feature was seen when TikTok introduced 15-minute videos a few months ago.
