An alert has been issued today by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for Asteroid 2022 BS2. It was discovered on 27 January 2022. The asteroid is said to belong to the Apollo group. It completes one revolution around the Sun in 380 days. This is a 95 feet piece of rock which is moving towards the earth at a stormy speed. Its speed is said to be 29585 kilometers per hour. It is scheduled to return again on 8 February 2048. NASA has not yet released information about its collision with the Earth.

Asteroid collision with Earth is considered a very rare event. But the possibility cannot be ruled out. Because compared to the size of the planet, asteroids are very small in size. Talking about Earth, its diameter is 12,756 kilometers. Even at a speed of 27,880 kilometers per hour, the Space Shuttle takes 90 minutes, i.e. 1.5 hours, to circle the Earth. You can imagine its size how big it is. In such a situation, its gravity is also very powerful.
