Earth Core Leaking Helium 2900 km deep inside scientists say in New Discovery more details

Scientists have not yet been able to accurately estimate what is hidden in the womb of the Earth. It is said that metals inside the innermost layer of the Earth (called the core) are molten and exist in liquid form. But now scientists have got another important information related to this layer. Scientists have analyzed 62 million years old rocks. These are the rocks of the Arctic whose study has revealed that something is leaking from within the earth.

Geochemists from the California Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution have jointly conducted this study. According to Science Alert, scientists found in the study of rocks that helium isotopes have been found in dense form inside them. Which is strong evidence that the innermost layer of the Earth is leaking helium. The discovery has been published in Nature.

Scientists have linked the results of this study to an ancient lava flow in which helium 3 is normally present in dense form. Scientists have said that there is a possibility that there are large reserves of helium within 2900 kilometers of the Earth. Scientists have always been amazed about this gas and are trying to estimate in what quantity it can be present inside the earth.

The helium found so far in the universe is from the time of the Big Bang, when the universe was formed 13.8 trillion years ago. The Earth also swallowed some part of it, but since the Earth was being formed at that time, the rest of it was thrown out. Till now humans have been able to dig only up to 12,265 meters inside the earth. It has not even been able to go beyond its upper layer, the crust. So if helium is leaking from inside the Earth, then it can definitely tell the situation at the time of its formation. Scientists are engaged in this search.
