ISRO launched XPoSat Mission X-ray Polarimeter satellite will study black holes
This satellite will help scientists in finding out the secrets of X-ray sources and studying the mysterious world of 'black holes'. According to ISRO, this is its first satellite which will detect X-ray emissions and will provide important information to ISRO for about 5 years.
After the successful launch, ISRO Chairman S Somnath said, Happy New Year to all of you. Another successful mission of PSLV was completed on January 1, 2024. PSLV-C58 has delivered the satellite ExoSat to its designated orbit.
S Somnath is also the Secretary of the Department of Space. He said that the orbit in which the satellite has been placed is an excellent orbit and is only 3 kilometers away from the circular orbit of 650 kilometers and the inclination is 001 degrees which is a good condition. Apart from this, solar panels have also been successfully installed.
Mission Director Jayakumar M. said that he is extremely happy on the success of the 60th flight of PSLV. He said that today's successful launch has been possible due to the tremendous efforts of the ISRO team. He said that new technology makes this mission interesting. The 'X-ray Polarimeter' satellite has a high energy battery made of silicon.
