Jio will now launch laptops in the budget range, these will be the features
XDA's report says that Jio has partnered with Chinese company Bluebank Communication Technology to create JioBook. This company is already manufacturing JioPhone in its factories.
XDA Developers says it has collected information from internal documents that JioBook is being developed since early September last year with plans to launch it by the first half of 2021. Product validation test of this device is expected to start by the middle of next month. An image of the JioBook prototype has also been shared, giving us a glimpse of its design.
The leaked image shows the laptop with Windows, but the device is not expected to run Windows, so it is possible that the final product design of the JioBook may be different.

Talking about the specifications, the XDA Developers report suggests that the current prototype of the JioBook includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and Snapdragon The laptop has been tested in multiple variants and one of the models has 2GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. There is also another model, which is said to include 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
The JioBook may include features like a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It is also said to be equipped with a three-axis accelerometer and a Qualcomm audio chip.
Jio can also include its native apps such as JioStore, JioMeet and JioPages in this laptop. Additionally, it will also reportedly include Microsoft products like Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Edge, and Office.
At present, no information has been shared regarding the price and availability of JioBook. However, the laptop is expected to be available under the budget segment later this year.
