Scientists all over the world are busy in new experiments. Now he has got a big success. The laser-beam signal has reached Earth from a distance of 16 million kilometers. American space agency NASA says that this distance is 40 times more than the distance between the Earth and the Moon. Till date, optical communication has not come over this distance on Earth. After all, how did this signal reach the Earth? Do aliens have any role in this? Let us know.

According to NDTV report, this experiment has been possible through Deep Space Optical Communications (DSOC) tool. This tool has been installed on NASA's Psyche spacecraft. Remember that NASA's Psyche mission was launched on October 13 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Since then it has been successful in continuously sending laser-beam messages back to Earth.

On November 14, the Psyche spacecraft established a communications link with the Hale Telescope at Palomar Observatory in California. During testing, the DSOC tool sent a near-infrared photon signal that reached Earth from the Psyche spacecraft in just 50 seconds.

What is Psyche Spacecraft?

Psyche is an asteroid. It is estimated that this asteroid may contain iron, nickel and gold worth 10,000 quadrillion dollars. Remember that there are 15 zeros in a quadrillion. This is the number coming after trillion. NASA has launched Mission Psyche to investigate the asteroid. According to media reports, the US space agency does not plan to extract precious metals from Psyche.

Importance of laser beam signal

At present, when spacecraft in deep space send signals to Earth, their bandwidth is limited. Experiments like laser beam signaling could be useful for future missions. NASA says that this system can deliver messages at a speed 10 to 100 times faster than existing space communication systems.
