This year, on the day of Diwali, many such videos were seen across the country, where hoodlums were seen performing stunts on the roads by placing rockets or other types of firecrackers on their vehicles. One such latest case has been reported from Mohali city of Punjab, in which a youth has been reported to have fitted sky rockets (firecrackers) on a car and driven it on the roads. This young man has also been arrested. According to Mohali Police, sparks from the firecrackers fell on another person passing on his scooter on the road, causing his clothes to catch fire.

A man who burst firecrackers on his Mustang car has been arrested by the Punjab Police, according to Daily Spokesman, a local e-news publication. The young man was keeping the sky rocket on the boot of the car and driving it on the roads. The clothes of a person passing on his scooter caught fire due to the spark of firecrackers, due to which he also got injured. After the police administration got information about this, the young man was arrested.

When arrested by the police, the culprit revealed that he performed the dangerous stunt because he wanted to impress his wife on the occasion of their wedding anniversary and recorded the video and uploaded it on social media to get likes.

After his arrest, the police made him delete the video. He also revealed that after the incident he had sold the car to someone in Delhi and hence, Mohali Police says that it has approached Delhi Police to seize the vehicle. Further, the culprit has been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

As we told, this is not the first incident of bursting crackers from a moving vehicle. About two months ago, three people were arrested for a similar nuisance in Gurugram, where a Hyundai Verna car was being driven on the roads with an entire box of Sky Shot placed on top of its boot.
