Everyone knows that after ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission, Russian space agency Roscosmos also sent its mission Luna-25 to the Moon. The Russian mission was not successful. On August 20, his Luna-25 spacecraft collided with the lunar surface and was destroyed. The place where it might have crashed has been discovered by the American space agency NASA. NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has captured a picture of a new crater on the Moon. It is believed that this crater was caused by the collision of Luna-25 spacecraft.

LRO had captured this area of the moon in June last year. The present crater occurred after that. The NASA team associated with LRO feels that the new crater on the Moon is not a natural phenomenon, rather it may have been caused by the Luna-25 spacecraft.

Russian space agency Roscosmos had given information on the impact point of Luna-25 mission on August 21. That is, it was estimated where the spacecraft might have crashed. NASA explored the area around it. NASA's LRO started working from 22 August itself. He took many photographs till August 24, which were compared with the photographs taken earlier. During this time NASA discovered a new small crater.

According to NASA, the diameter of the crater on the moon is 10 meters, which is located on the moon at 57.865 degrees south latitude and 61.360 degrees east longitude. It is being said that Russia had planned to land the Luna-25 spacecraft 400 kilometers from this place. But he could not get success.

For the first time since 1976, Russia sent a mission to the moon. The Luna-24 mission sent before Luna-25 was a program of the Soviet Union. NASA's LRO has been exploring the Moon since 2009. NASA hopes that it will continue to work till the year 2025.
