NASA Shares Stunning Image Of Dying Star Located 20000 Light Years Away From Earth

Have you ever seen a star die? If not, then NASA has captured this amazing incident on camera. NASA has captured in a photo the scene of the extinction of a star located 20 thousand light years away. NASA has shared this photo on its social media handle. The name of this star has been described as V838 Monocreotis. It is at a distance of 20 thousand light years from Earth, which is present on the outer edge of our galaxy Milky Way.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) agency has shared an amazing photo on its Instagram handle. NASA often shares such photos related to space. This time's photo is very special. It shows the moments just before a star dies. While writing about this, NASA said that such circles of dust had not been seen before. This is called light echo. These rings are made of dust and gas coming out of a red giant star. This is the view just before it explodes.

Explaining further about this, NASA wrote that when this incident is happening in the star, at this time it is shining 60 thousand times more brightly than our Sun. After sharing the photo, it soon got a flood of likes. Within a few hours it was seen and liked by millions of people.

The photo was taken from the Hubble Telescope. In its 25 years of service, the Hubble Telescope has taken hundreds of such photos which show us far-flung views of the universe. Even before this, NASA had shared a photo of a galaxy which is about 100 million light years away from here. It is called NGC 2441. The galaxy was first observed by German astronomer Wilhelm Tempel in 1882. Temple was observing a comet at that time. He has written about 21 comets. Many of these have been named after their names.
