Ring of Fire solar eclipse: After the next 2 days i.e. on 14th October, a very rare solar eclipse (solar eclipse October 2023) is going to occur in the sky. This will be an annular solar eclipse, which is also called Ring of Fire. American space agency NASA has told that for the first time since 2012, this eclipse will be visible in the sky of North, Central and South America and will not be seen again till 2046.

Circular or annular solar eclipse is also called Ring of Fire. This happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. However, it does not cover the Sun completely and looks like a black disk on the Sun.

Because this eclipse will not be effective in India, if you want to see it, then you can turn to online platforms. NASA is going to do live coverage of this eclipse. The eclipse can be seen on its official YouTube channel. That means people from all over the world will be able to watch the spectacle of 'Ring of Fire' live online. Its telecast will start at 9 pm Indian time.

Viewing the solar eclipse with naked eyes is not considered safe. NASA says that those who will be present on the spot and witness the solar eclipse can take the help of pinhole projector.

After the solar eclipse on October 14, a partial lunar eclipse is also going to occur on October 28. It will be visible across much of the Eastern Hemisphere, including Europe, Africa, Asia, Antarctica and Oceania. This eclipse will also not be effective in India. Generally, solar eclipse and lunar eclipse do not occur in the same month. In such a situation, this is an interesting opportunity for those people who are interested in the events happening in the sky.
