The amount of carbon dioxide on earth is continuously increasing due to which our planet is becoming warmer. Countries around the world are making agreements on climate change, but everyone can see that the target is being missed. By 2022, the Earth will have warmed by 1.26 degrees Celsius. And it is being said that by the mid-2030s this figure will have crossed 1.5 degrees Celsius. Not only this, research is even saying that by the end of the century the Earth will have warmed up to 2.5 degrees Celsius.

Due to this much heat, many species and ecosystems in the world will be destroyed. Therefore, scientists are trying to prevent climate change in every possible way. According to NDTV, scientists are looking towards history in this regard. The volcanic eruptions in Tambora, Indonesia in 1815, and the volcano that erupted in Pinatubo, Philippines in 1991, had one thing in common. The smoke and particles emanating from them spread high into the atmosphere. Which slowed down the sunlight on the earth for many years. Now scientists are thinking of using this process to stop climate change or rising temperatures.

The earth gets heated only by the rays of the sun. But this heat is captured in the atmosphere itself due to green house gases. Due to which the earth is not able to throw out its heat. But scientists are now talking about artificially repeating the process of slowing down of the sun due to volcanic eruptions. Scientists say that to reduce 1 degree Celsius of warming on Earth, sunlight needs to be slowed down by 1%.

This may sound strange. But engineers are saying that it may be possible. In this, high-flying jet planes will be used which will release such particles in the upper atmosphere which will slow down the arrival of sunlight on the earth.

However, dimming the sun cannot reverse the effects of climate change. Because the sun heats the earth more during the day time. But greenhouse gases are warming the Earth everywhere, and all the time. At the same time, research is saying that slowing down the sun will be effective. Due to increasing heat, there are many creatures whose survival will become difficult. Species will start getting destroyed. Moreover, the temperature now seems to be approaching the human body's ability to tolerate heat. In such a situation, a big threat to humans is also looming in the form of global warming.
