ISRO i.e. Indian Space Research Organization is now preparing for new space missions. After the success of Chandrayaan3 and Aditya L1 missions, its eyes are on Venus, which is also known as Earth's twin sister. According to NDTV report, ISRO Chairman S Somnath recently said that the Venus mission has been configured and the development work of some payloads is still going on. The mission is now unofficially called Shukrayaan-1.

Speaking at the National Science Academy (INSA), S Somnath said ISRO is planning a mission to study Venus. He also mentioned the project to land a spacecraft on Mars. Additionally, there are plans to launch two satellites that will analyze space weather and assess its effects on Earth.

According to the report, S Somnath said that Venus is a very interesting planet. Its atmosphere is so dense that you cannot penetrate its surface. We do not know whether the surface of Venus is hard or not. The report says that the name Shukrayan-1 is made by combining two words. Shukra i.e. Venus is a Sanskrit word, while Yaan means craft.

It has been reported in the report that the idea of ​​sending a mission to Venus was first thought of in the year 2012. Initial study on this started in 2017. After that, proposals were invited for payloads to be sent to Venus. According to the report, the objective of the mission is to study the atmosphere of Venus and know its structure. Sending a mission to Venus can also reveal secrets related to its past. Can we know whether there ever existed life on Venus?
