Snowman in Space captured by hubble space telescope watch Nasa pic
NASA has classified this picture as an emission nebula. These are clouds of gas, which have become so charged due to the stars present near them that they are glowing with their own light.
Three bright blue and white stars can be seen on the upper left side of the picture. After that red-brown, orange stars are visible. The shape of the clouds present together is such that the shape of a snowman emerges.
The Hubble Space Telescope captured this picture while studying 'protostars' i.e. newly formed stars. Hubble Telescope's Wide Field Camera 3 helped in this work. The picture has received more than 60 thousand likes so far. People are praising the picture and calling it amazing.
The Hubble Space Telescope has been in space for more than 30 years. As its successor, NASA launched the James Webb Space Telescope in 2021. Despite that, Hubble is still working and providing new information related to the universe to scientists.
The picture of a young star wrapped in a cloud of dust has been quite popular among the pictures taken by Hubble. That young star was discovered last year in the Taurus constellation, about 9 thousand light years away from Earth. Scientists named it IRAS 05506 + 2414, which is evidence of an explosive event resulting from the collision of two massive stars.
