SpaceX sent 21 starlink satellites into space with falcon 9 first stage creates this record
According to Space.com report, Starlink satellites were launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The launch was shown live on social media platform X.
About 8.5 minutes after the Falcon 9 rocket took off, its first stage made a precise landing on the SpaceX drone ship in the ocean. This was the sixth landing of that first stage and the 17th landing of all first stages of the Falcon 9 rocket so far.
According to reports, after the recent launch the number of Starlink satellites in orbit has crossed the 4,750 mark. SpaceX plans to take this number further. He has sought approval for this from the American government, which has not been received yet.
SpaceX is providing satellite internet service around the world through Starlink satellites. This is beneficial for those areas which are far away from urban areas. Connectivity can be improved through satellite internet in disparate geographical areas. There are preparations to launch Starlink's satellite internet service in India too, but the necessary approval has not been received yet.
However, SpaceX also faces the challenge of maintaining this service. Solar storms coming in space are damaging these satellites. Last year, about 40 satellites of the company were destroyed due to solar storm.
