The International Space Station (ISS), stationed in space 400 kilometers above the Earth and circling the Earth, is the second home for astronauts. A team of scientists is always stationed in the space station and completes many types of space missions from there. While revolving around the Earth, the space station has to face many challenges. The biggest challenge is the debris of dead satellites. This debris keeps rotating in space and many times comes in front of the space station. Same thing happened recently. The space station escaped being hit by orbital debris. All this happened when a cargo ship was about to reach the space station.

News agency TASS has given this information quoting Russian space agency Roscosmos. It is said that to avoid collision with debris, the orbit of the ISS was raised to 900 meters. According to preliminary data, the total height of the space station was 417.98 kilometers above the Earth.

Although NASA has not said anything about this. Space debris is a matter of great concern for satellites. This is the second time this year that the orbit of the ISS was changed to avoid collision with debris. Statistics show that since 1999 till December last year, the orbit of the ISS has been changed 32 times, so that it can be saved from collision with space debris.

The International Space Station is a joint project of many countries. America and Russia are also included in this. A team of astronauts is always deployed on the ISS and completes science-related experiments and other tasks. The ISS revolves around the Earth. It shares information about the countries over which it passes. There are preparations to deorbit the space station in the future.

NASA has said that the ISS will be removed between 2030 and 2031. NASA says it will exit the International Space Station business.
