Aditya L1 spacecraft Trans Lagrangean Point 1 Insertion maneuvre is successful says ISRO

The fourth and last process related to Earth's orbit change of India's first solar mission Aditya L-1 was successfully completed on Tuesday morning. With this, the 'Aditya-L1' spacecraft, which has been orbiting the Earth since September 2, has entered a new orbit. Now it is moving towards Trans-Lagrangian Point-1, which is about 1.5 million kilometers away from the Earth. Indian Space Agency ISRO has shared this information.

ISRO has said in a post on social media platform X that Aditya spacecraft will take about 110 days to reach its destination. The Lagrangian point is a place in our solar system between the Sun and the Earth, where the force of gravity is balanced. With this any satellite can be stopped there.

In a post on X, ISRO wrote, “Sun-Earth headed towards L1 point! The spacecraft is now on a trajectory that will take it to the Sun-Earth L1 point. It will be placed in orbit around L1 through a process after approximately 110 days.

ISRO has also said that this is the fifth consecutive time that the Indian Space Agency has successfully transferred something into space. Aditya spacecraft is carrying India's first space-based observatory, which will study the outer atmosphere of the Sun by staying in the Lagrangian point (L-1).

On 2nd of this month, Aditya spacecraft was launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. All the instruments installed in it are indigenous and will study the Sun. Because of these, India will be able to know in real time the activities happening in the Sun. ISRO hopes that from Aditya Observatory it will get important data related to the Sun and will get new information about solar activities.
