US Moon Mission Update: After about 50 years, a moon mission from America had left for the moon, but a problem encountered midway made the mission fail. Now it has come to light that the American Moon Lander is coming back towards the Earth. If the lander falls in a populated area, it can cause damage. However, scientists expect that the lander will burn as soon as it enters the Earth's atmosphere. This information has come from Astrobotic, a company associated with the mission.

what was the whole mission

At the beginning of last week, America made a historic flight to land on the moon. NASA's Peregrine 1 lunar lander was delivered to orbit with the help of a Vulcan Centaur rocket from a private manufacturer named United Launch Alliance (ULA). This was happening after 50 years when the American Space Agency sent one of its missions to land on the Moon.

There was a problem after launching

Mission organizers had said that Astrobotic started reporting a malfunction just hours after launch. Also, fuel was continuously leaking from the lander, due to which the possibility of the lander reaching the moon was eliminated.

Now the company has said in a post that the spacecraft is moving back towards Earth. There is a possibility of it burning as soon as it enters the Earth's atmosphere. The team of scientists is keeping an eye on this spacecraft. At present it is about 4 lakh kilometers away from the Earth.

Nasa had spent a huge amount

Nasa had spent 100 million dollars for this mission. Through the Peregrine 1 lunar lander, NASA wanted to gather information about the composition of the moon's surface and radiation in the atmosphere of the landing site. This is not the first time that a private company tried to land on the moon and failed. First of all, in April 2019, Israel's Bearish lander crashed on the surface of the moon.
