Working with the American space agency NASA is the dream of scientists all over the world. An Indian woman 'Akshata Krishnamurthy' has created history while working with NASA. She has become the first Indian to operate NASA's Mars rover, that is, she has driven a rover on Mars. Akshata was involved in the mission under which NASA collected samples from Mars. He is one of the few Indians who has got the opportunity to work full-time with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Nasa JPL). Her profile on LinkedIn shows that Akshata is serving as Principal Investigator and Mission Science Phase Lead at NASA. She has been working in NASA for the last 5 years.

While sharing her journey on Instagram, Akshata has told that she went to America 13 years ago. His dream was to work at NASA and lead science and robotic operations related to Earth and Mars. Because she was a foreign citizen on visa, many people advised her to change her field. Said to plan something else. According to Akshata, she remained focused on her goal. PhD from MIT opened the way for him to reach NASA.
